Best Games From Nintendo's Partner Showcase 02.05.2026
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
A sleeper hit in the making, The Adventures of Elliot was not on my bingo card when it was announced last year. But, with a demo drop on the same day, it sure did claw its way to the top of my most-wanted list. The gameplay didn't click with me at first, with Elliot feeling a little difficult to control. But after giving the demo one more shot, I found the world and the characters surprisingly intriguing.

With the game operating in a play area that opens up as you go through the story, you find yourself diving into dungeons and challenge towers in order to gain better abilities and weapons. I quickly went from moving around certain enemies to murdering everything with reckless abandon. But, even with the power up, the bosses I encountered still gave me a run for my money. Worse yet, the demo leaves things on a cliffhanger. Luckily, the full game is dropping on June 18th, 2026, so we can enjoy the full experience.
Scott Pilgrim EX
I know I'm not the only one who played through Scott Pilgrim VS The World: The Game. Nothing beats the feeling of picking up a dude and slamming him into another dude just for the love of the game. To this day, one-shotting Matthew Patel with a beefed-up Scott is a core memory of mine. (He's the only ex I hate besides the G man).
My only complaint is that all the Scott Pilgrim media released at the time followed the story of the graphic novel faithfully. I read those books back in 2010. I love the story as much as the next fan, but we yearn for change. Then, we got Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, and I just knew the chances of another game would depend on how popular the show was. You guys didn't let me down. Scott Pilgrim EX drops March 3rd, 2026.
Granblue Fantasy Relink - Endless Ragnarok
My very first Granblue game, and a thrill ride from the jump, I played Relink when it hit PS5 back in 2004. I loved the fact that it felt like I was playing a gotcha game without the monetization. Like a less predatory Genshin Impact. The boss fights were out of this world. And, even though I felt like I was entering into a story in progress, I still found myself falling in love with the characters and the world.

Now that the game is coming to the Switch 2, with a new DLC, I get to experience the adventure all over again. Nintendo loves giving me an excuse to buy multiple copies of the same game all over again. (Looking at you, Cyberpunk). Granblue Fantasy Relink - Endless Ragnarok is coming July 9, 2026. Here's hoping it plays better than it does on Steamdeck. Would love to run this on portably at 60fps.

Valheim
I don't have to explain what Valheim is, or the effect the Norse Terraria has had over the survival genre since its debut in 2021. It's the game that made the survival genre finally click for me. Spent lots of time reliving my Runescape days by cutting down trees and mining ore. Also spent a lot of time getting squished by those very same trees.
I will say that this is one of the most approachable games in the survival space. It's not punishing in its concepts, and even the invasions only truly start to get harder when you build in different biomes. If you like spending your days running from giants, fending off wolves in the snow, and getting stalked by the All-Father, then boy, do I have the game for you.

Tokyo Scramble
Tokyo Scramble is a surprise addition to this list. Admittedly, this is the game on the list that I know the least about. I don't know if it featured anywhere else before showing up in this direct. For me, it just kinda appeared out of nowhere like being stalked by a Velosaraptor.

From the trailer, it feels like a Resident Evil 7 mixed with Dino Crisis. Fighting the dinos seems pointless, with them being able to one-shot you without much trouble. The only way to get around them is to outsmart them. It looks like a nice change of pace. Plus, it's only $30, so I'm giving it a shot. Tokyo Scramble hits Nintendo Switch 2 on February 11, 2026.
Digimon Story Time Stranger
This is the game that loads of people were waiting for. After the abysmal reception to the latest Pokémon entry (I liked it), stepping into the fully realized world was refreshing. The central mystery the story follows plays out in a way that makes you feel smart for following along, and the system of digivolution is fun to mess with. They give you the ability to make some truly broken mons from the very beginning. I, for one, got my Renamon and then proceeded to Diamond Storm the whole world.
Everyone was wondering if Nintendo was going to allow Digimon Story Time Stranger on their console. With the Pokémon anniversary happening at the end of this month, I wouldn't have batted an eye if they rejected this game. I'm hoping that their showcasing of this title means that Creatures Inc is coming with something truly special.
